Housing Support

Independence shouldn't have to wait for the perfect plan

For many young people with a disability, the dream of moving out feels permanently parked. Lower NDIS funding often rules out traditional Supported Independent Living, leaving you in a frustrating middle ground. You want your own space, your own routines, and the chance to make your own choices, but the support around you has been built for an all-or-nothing model. Years can pass while you wait for circumstances to shift.

A bright open living space with a dining table, lounge and front door
4 Hours, every day

One-to-one support, focused on the parts of running a home that still need backup.

1 Lease, in your name

A private leasing agreement and your own front door. You run the place, not us.

2 Hours, free to start

A meet-and-greet before anything begins, at no cost and with nothing locked in.

Our Housing Support program is built for that gap. Instead of around the clock shared care, we offer a minimum of four hours of one-to-one support each day, focused on the areas that matter most for independent living. You hold your own lease, run your own home, and have a team behind you for the parts that still need backup. It mirrors the experience of an independent rental, with the safety net of a dedicated support structure.

What's involved

01

Targeted daily support

Your four hours of one-to-one support each day are spent on the things that actually build a life. Personal care routines, cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and the daily living skills that turn a house into a home you can run. You're not paying for hours of company you don't need. The support is focused, practical, and shaped around your goals.

02

Your own lease, your own choices

Every tenant signs a private leasing agreement and takes responsibility for their own rent. To make the financial side feel manageable, we use tools like Centrepay to draw rent, utilities, and groceries directly from your fortnightly Centrelink payments. That single change removes most of the surprise bills that derail budgets, so you can build genuine financial confidence without the stress.

03

A team in the background

A Housing Manager oversees the program, and a case manager works alongside you to make sense of your supports as your needs change. Help is there when you need it, but the lead role belongs to you. The goal isn't to manage your life for you. The goal is to set you up to manage it yourself, with the right people on call when you want a second opinion.

Picture your first place.

Where this leads

An open-plan living and dining area with a lounge, television and balcony doors
Furnished, connected and liveable from the first day, so the move is about settling in rather than starting from nothing.
A bedroom with a ceiling fan and a window looking over parkland
Your own room, your own door, your own routine. The bit that makes it a home rather than a placement.
